Travel Advisory API Access
Build applications with normalized country risk levels and official-source travel safety data.
Consistent Data from Multiple Government Advisories
Government travel advisories use different terminology, geographic scopes and publication formats. The AdvisoryAtlas API brings those sources into a consistent data model so developers can work with country identifiers, normalized risk levels, safety summaries and source-level assessments without building a separate integration for every government website.
Risk levels use the same four-level framework shown on our country comparison pages. The API preserves minimum and maximum levels when an advisory distinguishes between the nationwide baseline and higher-risk regions. Read our methodology to understand normalization, consensus calculations and the limitations of comparing independent government assessments.
Designed for Travel Products, Research and Risk Monitoring
The API can support destination pages, traveler dashboards, corporate travel tools, editorial research and applications that need a current risk signal. Country metadata and summary risk information are available for lightweight integrations, while higher plans expose detailed safety analysis, traveler profiles, visa and health information, and government-by-government breakdowns.
Plans use clear request limits so teams can begin with a small prototype and expand as usage grows. API keys are managed from this page after authentication. Developers can review the available endpoints and response examples in the interactive API documentation before deciding which access level fits their application.
Responsible Use of Travel Safety Information
Travel conditions can change quickly, and an aggregated risk level cannot replace the complete advisory issued by a travelerโs own government. Applications should display update times, preserve links to official sources and avoid presenting AdvisoryAtlas data as a guarantee that a destination or activity is safe. Important decisions should always be checked against current official guidance.
API consumers are responsible for how they interpret and present the data. Review the travel data disclaimers and terms of service before integration. For editorial context and examples of responsible interpretation, browse our travel safety analysis.
