By accessing and using AdvisoryAtlas, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use. Please read them carefully before using the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the AdvisoryAtlas website, API, or any related services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

AdvisoryAtlas is an information aggregation platform that aggregates and presents travel advisories published by official government sources. We provide:

• Aggregated travel advisory information from multiple government sources
• AI-assisted summaries, analysis, and comparison tools
• Risk consensus calculation using a standardized 4-level scale
• Interactive world risk map and country browsing
• Analytical articles based on travel advisory data
• Optional user accounts with favorites and PDF export features
• A REST API providing programmatic access to travel advisory data
• An embeddable country risk widget for third-party websites

3. Information Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, the limitations that apply to our advisory data, AI-generated content, and risk consensus are described in detail in our Disclaimers, which form an integral part of these Terms. You should always consult official government sources before making travel decisions.

4. User Responsibilities

• Use the service for lawful purposes only
• Not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service
• Not use automated systems to scrape or bulk-download data without prior written permission
• Not resell or sublicense content or data obtained from the service without prior written permission
• Verify information with official sources before making travel decisions
• Take full responsibility for your travel decisions

5. User Accounts

Certain features — including saving favorites, exporting articles to PDF, and accessing the API — require a registered account. By creating an account you agree to be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age for digital consent in your jurisdiction), provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and accept responsibility for all account activity.

6. API Access and Subscriptions

The AdvisoryAtlas REST API is available under tiered plans (Free, Pro, Business). By accessing the API or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree that:

• API keys are personal and must not be shared or used to serve multiple independent applications
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and are non-refundable except where required by law
• You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
• Misuse of the API may result in immediate suspension without refund
• Free-tier access is provided without warranty and may be modified or discontinued at any time

7. Intellectual Property

The AdvisoryAtlas platform, including its design, functionality, and original editorial content, is protected by intellectual property rights. Government advisory content is generally in the public domain or otherwise freely reproducible under applicable law for informational purposes. We make no claim of ownership over government-sourced content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ADVISORYATLAS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Account Termination and Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. All API keys are revoked, active subscriptions are cancelled, and personal data is removed. We may retain certain information as required by law or to resolve disputes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AdvisoryAtlas disclaims all liability for damages arising from the use of this service, including the categories of harm described in our Disclaimers — travel decisions, inaccurate or outdated information, AI-generated content, technical issues, and third-party use of our API or widget data — as well as any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the greater of the amount paid by you in the preceding twelve months or USD 100. Nothing herein excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which AdvisoryAtlas operates, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
